    We are based on Hawarden Estate, 20 minutes from Chester.

    We recommend traveling by train to Chester, and then getting the bus or a taxi to Hawarden. You can also get the train to Hawarden itself which is served by smaller train lines. 

    Driving to us is best, and we have plenty of parking at each property.

    Your reservation is confirmed when you have paid a deposit of 50% of the total cost, if you are booking more than 6 weeks in advance. The rest of your booking needs to be paid for 6 weeks before your stay.

    Depending on availability, yes! Send us an email to with your phone number and we will give you a call very quickly.

    • Small or medium sized groups – Gardener’s House (can be booked for up to 5 people, or up to 9 people). There are 4 bedrooms.
    • Couples, or groups of two, or even solo guests – Beekeeper’s Hut (sleeps 2).
    • Small or larger groups – The West End (can be booked in two set ups, for 5 people or 10 people). There are 5 bedrooms.

    Gardener’s House and The West End: We have a 2 night minimum stay during the week, and 3 night minimum stay on weekends.

    Beekeeper’s Hut: We have a 2 night minimum stay. 

    Yes! We are family friendly. Beekeeper’s Hut is small with no space for a spare bed or cot, though.

    Yes! You can book private dining inside the house you book, or a private lunch down at the Lake. Please email to find out more.

    You can add a foraging and wilderness walk, private dining, cooking classes, Old Castle Tours and any of our classes at The Walled Garden School. You can book in to use our Welsh-made wood-fired sauna, too. We also have a load of family friendly events on at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop and The Glynne Arms.

    Each house comes with private access to its own wood-fired hot tub. You will also get unlimited firewood for fireplaces and fire pits.

    You will have access to certain areas of the Estate (and more areas available to book as part of add-ons).

    Linen, towels, and some cleaning products are also included. All utilities are included in your stay.

    If you would like to book a stay for you and your family, then the Gardener’s House  would be the best property to choose, with its 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

    Yes! We are dog friendly.

    We just ask that they do not go on furniture, sofas or beds. Please bring poo bags for around the Estate and surrounding areas, too.

    You can check in any day, except Sunday. If you are booking a last minute stay, get in touch as we may be able to work around this.

    Gardener’s House does not have any ground floor bedrooms. 

    Beekeeper’s Hut is not suitable for wheelchair access.

    The West End begins on the second floor, so does need guests to be able to use stairs easily.
