The West End is a large, two-storey residence that forms part of Hawarden Castle. Once home to four-time British Prime Minister William Gladstone, this part of the castle is now a perfectly distilled blend of modern, vintage and period comfort.

The West End sits within Hawarden Castle. The fabled, giant West Room is where you’ll spend most of your time; eating, reading, listening to records. There’s a wonderful kitchen, five large bedrooms, wide corridors, an elegant staircase, four superb bathrooms and a private indoor sauna.

No detail has been overlooked in order to earn this a place amongst the best holiday accommodation in Britain.

Outdoors, guests can enjoy a private woodland garden with a wood-fired hot tub, a giant pizza oven and a custom-built fire pit.

The West End is available for parties of up to 4 or up to 10 guests. When booking for 1-4 people your booking will include two bedrooms. When booking for 5-10 people your booking will include all five bedrooms.

The West End is part of Hawarden Castle, and overlooks the ruins of a 13th Century marcher castle.

You’ll enter through iron gates, as many people have done for centuries before you and along the drive to be greeted by 18th-century gothic grandeur. The property itself is warm and inviting and the perfect setting for a special occasion.
